Sold in Under 30 Days at the Worst Time of the Year

Sold in Under 30 Days for list price in the middle of the January doldrums, 2019.

This 1920’s West End home was a flip project by one of our many investor clients. Priced at $300,000, this was the “castle on the block”, a tall price tag for a home in this location. Worse yet, the house was going on the market literally the week before Christmas – the worst time of year to try to sell a house everyone preoccupied with the holiday season, and the post-Christmas “doldrums”. As always, we were up for the challenge! We staged every last room of this house to be warm, welcoming, cozy and inviting with the aim to help buyers envision themselves living happily-ever-after in the home.  This resulted in really enticing listing photos, which drew buyers in for viewings, despite the frigid January weather.  Our client was thrilled when the house sold in 3 weeks, at the worst possible time of year — and he credited our staging in getting the fast sale he wanted.
